Promenade Concert on a Bicycle – Notenrad Tour to Jewish Cemeteries

In the jubilee year "1700 years of Jewish life in Germany", the Notenspur Association dedicates its Notenrad (Music Bike Trail) tour to the Jewish cemetery and remembrance culture. The ride leads via the Old and New Jewish Cemeteries in Leipzig to the Jewish Cemetery in Delitzsch. Gravesites of people who were important for the history of music will be visited, cemetery customs will be explained and music will be heard. On the way there is time for a picnic (church Podelwitz/Rackwitz, self-catering!). From Delitzsch, the tour, which is 50 km long in total, leads back to Leipzig via Lake Werbellin and Lake Schladitz (arrival approx. 7:00 p.m.). The tour will be accompanied by the ADFC Leipzig.

Participation in a guided tour and the musical performance is also possible by public transport.

Further information with the expected times will follow.

Together with the Jewish community, we ask male participants to cover their heads with appropriate headgear in the Jewish cemeteries.
