Notenrad Tour to Jewish Cemeteries
In the jubilee year "1700 years of Jewish life in Germany", the Notenspur Association dedicated its Notenrad (Music Bike Trail) tour to the Jewish cemetery and remembrance culture. The ride led via the Old and New Jewish Cemeteries in Leipzig to the Jewish Cemetery in Delitzsch. Gravesites of people who were important for the history of music were visited, cemetery customs were explained. At the stopover at Podelwitz church vocal ensemble amarcord gave a concert. There was also time for a picnic. Music was heard again at the Delitzsch Jewish cemetery - performed by cellist Konstanze Pietschmann. From Delitzsch the tour, which was approx. 55 km long, led back to Leipzig via lakes Werbellin and Schladitz. Cooperation partner ADFC Leipzig accompanied the bike tour.
